The RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TYPES OF PLASMODIUM FALCIPARUM AND PLASMODIUM VIVAX WITH THE DEGREE OF THROMBOCYTOPENIA IN MALARIA PATIENTS AT RSUD RATU AJI PUTRI BOTUNG PENAJAM PASER UTARA

ABSTRACT
 Malaria is a tropical infectious disease with high morbidity and mortality rates. In malaria, various kinds of haematological complications can arise, one which thrombocytopenia. Thrombocytopenia most commonly encountered during acute malaria infection varying degrees observed in both Plasmodium falciparum vivax infections. The purpose this study was to determine the relationship between types degree thrombocytopenia patients at Ratu Aji Putri Botung Penajam Paser Utara Hospital. This research an observasional analytic cross sectional method. data taken by using purposive sampling method from medical records hospitalized Hospital period January 2013 - August 2018. Data analysis used Chi-square test. Of 310 who were subjects, 60,3% (n = 187) infected 39,7% 123) vivax. Most subjects male (95,8%) dominated adults (56,5%). As many as 90% experienced mild, moderate, severe respectively 29,4% ; 56,6% 14,0%. Severe more common (16,4%). statistical test result for type p 0,139. It concluded that there no patients.
